Missing teeth can be treated with implants or bridges with BOPT crowns. The shape of implants and prepared teeth should be primarily related to its intended function. The loss of a tooth not only causes an esthetic alteration, but also a functional disorder and migration of adjacent teeth. In some cases little bone in the maxilla, advanced techniques as pterygoid implants or zygomatic implants are useful.
