Consists in the reconstruction of part of the crown of a tooth by means of composite so the tooth recovers its form and function. The most frequent cause of blockages is the treatment of caries. If the caries are deep, endodontics may be required.
Requires infiltrative anesthesia:
- Anesthesia will act for about an hour.
Duration of the session:
- From 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the size of the reconstruction.
Number of appointments or sessions:
- It is done in one session.
- It is immediate. The patient may need to get used to the restored anatomy of the tooth.
