Restoring a broken tooth

Patient exploration and x-rays are mandatory in order to rule out internal fracture.

In small crown factures, a veneer is the best choice.

If the fracture reaches the collar area of the tooth, a BOPT crown is the best choice. In case of trauma and traumatic extraction (avulsion), it is advisable to recuperate the tooth, immerse it in water or milk and go to the center as soon as possible so the maxillofacial surgeon and dentist can determine if there is a bone fracture and carry out the best treatment. The immediate fixation treatment of the tooth will be complemented later on with  endodontics to increase its viability. Only ingest soft food during the first days of treatment to avoid further traumatizing the avulsed tooth.
